Women set off from Istanbul for march to Gemlik

ISTANBUL — Women have set off from three districts of Istanbul to take part in a march to Gemlik. 

Tha march organised under the leadership of the Free Women’s Movement (Tevgera Jinên Azad – TJA) with the slogan “Time for women, time for freedom and meeting with a free leader,” is ongoing. 
 
Large numbes of women departed by bus from the districts of Bahçelievler, Beyoğlu and Kartal, heading to Gemlik in Bursa. 
 
During the departure, the women frequently chanted slogans including “Bijî Serok Apo (Long live Leader Apo), “Bê Serok jiyan nabe (Without Leader there is no life)” and “Jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)”, accompanied by applause.
