Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham's (HTS) operation on 30th June with more than 200 vehicles into the Tell Aran and Tell Hasel townships of Aleppo, where Kurdish populations predominantly live, in which at least 10 Kurdish youth were detained under torture and violence was applied against women, was protested in the cities of Rojava.

 

The PYD Women's Assembly, in a press statement made in Qamishlo, condemned the attacks on Kurdish civilians and called on international organizations to react to the attacks. The statement said: "As the PYD Women's Assembly, we condemn all attacks and violations targeting Kurdish civilians. Attacks on women and the elderly, and attacks on Kurdish youth in Tell Aran and Tell Hasel, are at the forefront of these violations. This situation is unacceptable and is also a policy that undermines opportunities for building trust among Syrians, deepens fragmentation, and runs counter to efforts to build a democratic Syria based on respect for the rule of law and human rights."

 

The MSD also condemned the attacks and home raids through a written statement. Stating that these practices are contrary to the principles of the rule of law and human rights, and are also incompatible with the transition process, the MSD emphasized that the transition process must be conducted on the basis of justice and equal citizenship, and stated that the targeting of Syria's various social components on various pretexts is unacceptable.

 

The MSD stated that the attacks threaten social peace, damage trust among Syrians and are pushing Syrian society toward fragmentation.
