DEM Party Central Executive Committee meets for ‘legal regulations’

ANKARA – The Central Executive Committee (MYK) of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party convened to discuss the proposed legal regulations within the framework of the Peace and Democratic Society Process, along with several other issues.
 
The MYK of the DEM Party gathered at the party headquarters under the chairmanship of Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan. The party’s MYK will discuss the legal regulations reportedly to be prepared within the scope of the Peace and Democratic Society Process, which have been repeatedly mentioned but have not yet been enacted.
 
Another agenda item of the meeting is reported to be the meetings held with Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, and the issues he raised during those meetings, which will be examined in detail.
 
The meeting will also address the work carried out and to be carried out by party commissions regarding the ordinary party congress expected to be held between September and October.
 
Another topic on the agenda is the Republican People’s Party (CHP) and current developments in this context.
 
It is also expected that, in the later hours of the meeting, Party Spokesperson Ayşegül Doğan will hold a press conference regarding the content of the meeting, ongoing discussions and decisions taken.
