Turkey turns to military methods while world turns to diplomacy: Turkey's only problem is the Kurds

SHENGAL - While diplomatic relations are gaining momentum in the Middle East, Asia and all confliced regions, Turkey carries out military policies aimed at eliminating the gains of Kurds in Iraq and Syria.

While an election is planned in Syria and Iraq, USA meeting Iran in Vienna, Russia visiting Gulf countries, the diplomacy between Saudi Arabia and Iran harbingers good news from the Middle East, Turkey continues its military operations that aims to destroy Kurds once and for all.  It seems that the ongoing operations against Metina, Zap and Avashin will have political, diplomatic and military consequences in the region.

USA AND IRAN TALKS

The Middle East policy of Joe Biden, the new US President, who reinstated the nuclear deal and diplomatic relations that broke down with Iran during the Trump era, is now being discussed again. The USA, which started its Middle East and Asia visits, also started diplomatic negotiations with Iran. Restarting talks in Vienna, USA and Iran discusses the nucleer deal. Middle East and Arab States follow the developments closely.

SAUDI ARABIA AND IRAN ON SPEAKING TERMS AGAIN

Iran and Saudi Arabia are mending its intense relations lately. While diplomatic initiative gains momentum, it was stated that raqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazimi is given the role of mediation between the two states.

WILL SYRIA BE IN THE ARAB LEAGUE?

Immediately after the Saudi government opened its embassy in Damascus, efforts to re-join Syria in the Arab League were accelerated. Syria, whose membership in the Arab League was suspended as soon as the civil war started in the country, is preparing to re-join the union after these developments. The parties are expected to hold some meetings on this issue. It is also discussed that the Damascus government will be officially invited to events and meetings in some Arab countries.

While elections are awaited in Iraq in October, elections will be held for the presidency in Syria on 26 May. In the elections where Bashar Assad, Abdallah Saloum Abdallah and Mahmoud Ahmed Marei are candidates, Assad is expected to be the winner.

RUSSIA IS NOT KEPT IN THE DARK

Russia, which closely follows the developments between the USA, Iran and the Arab world, organizes visits to the Gulf countries. Russia, Qatar and Turkey summits were held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, in March. It was agreed that the conflict should be over for a clean election. While a solution for the Syria crisis was discussed, it was also discussed if Syria will be in the Arab League and it was decided to take steps to strengthen Syria's relations with the Gulf countries.

TURKEY'S ONLY PROBLEM IS THE KURDS

Ending in a deadlock in foregin policy, Turkey continues its military operations that aims to destroy Kurds once and for all. Turkey, which started a cross-border operation in Metina, Zap and Avashin with the approval of the USA, wants to turn the time in its favor and eliminate the gains of the Kurds. Until the NATO Leaders Summit to be held in Brussels on June 14, international powers, which approved Turkey's operations are expected to make a policy change as a result of the attack.

EGYPT AFTER 8 YEARS

Losing its position in foreign policy, Turkey is trying to mend its relationship with Egypt that went south during the Arab Spring. Turkey and Egypt followed opposing policies in both the Middle East and the Eastern Mediterranean issue. Rejecting the Sisi administration for being a putschist, AKP Chairman Tayyip Erdogan wants to fix the relations 8 years later by declaring Egypt Turkey's brother nation.
