Father Fadıl Barıştıran pointed out that this was not the first attack on his daughter’s grave and said: “Every day in the morning I come and water the graves of martyrs here. In the morning I saw my daughter’s gravestone broken and vandalised. We had filed a criminal complaint about the vandalism 3 times before, but we did not get any results. According to the statements of the neighbourhood citizens, panzers came and stopped in front of the cemetery at 21.00 pm yesterday evening. What do you want from our martyrs? This is a provocation. The authorities should find a solution as soon as possible.”

 

 

Fadıl Barıştıran demanded that the perpetrators of the attack be found and punished. "They should not bother with our dead. We are behind our values and we will always be behind them," he said.
