PKK announced that they will comply Abdullah Öcalan's call and declared a ceasefire. PKK emphasised that a secure environment must be created for the congress to be held and Abdullah Öcalan must personally conduct the congress.
IHD Ankara Branch announced its 6-month report on prisons in Central Anatolia Region. The report includes 980 violations of right to health and 408 cases of torture and ill-treatment.

EP Rapporteur on Turkey Nacho Sánchez Amor stated that Abdullah Öcalan's call is the best starting point for a solution to the Kurdish issue.
Commenting on Abdullah Öcalan's call, "A road map must be drawn up immediately in the Turkish Grand National Assembly and civil society. It must be the beginning of the construction of a society based on human rights, equal citizenship and freedom" said Akın Birdal.
