NEWS CENTER - Kongra Star and Jazire Lawyers' Union protested the attacks against Alawites and Druze in Qamishlo, North and East Syria.
In Qamishlo, North and East Syria, Jazire Lawyers' Union made a statement regarding the attacks against Alawites and Druze. The statement made in front of the People's Court was attended by many lawyers. In the statement read by Heyfa Hesen, Co-chair of Jazire Lawyers' Union, a call was made to respect the multicoloured Syria.
The statement supported the statements of Druze leader Hikumet al-Hijri who called for unity.
At the end of the statement, the following call was listed:
*All secretarian and ethnic discrimination must be rejected.
*The government is responsible for the protection of citizens. It must fulfill this responsibility as soon as possible and ensure the security of life and proterty of everyone.
*In ternational powers must take action against these crimes.
*It must be ensured that all peoples in Syria feel themselves citizens.
WOMEN CALL FOR DIALOGUE
Kongra Star Assembly also made a statement in front of the 12 March Stadium, reacting to the attacks on Druze and Alawites. In the statement, it was emphasised that the Damascus government did not ensure the security of the people regarding the attacks against the Druze. Kongra Star Assembly called for opening dialogue ways to solve the problems.
The statement ended with the slogan "Jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)".
